CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Mechanical, Civil, and accredited Petroleum Engineer with entry level experience in natural gas pipeline design for our Spring Valley, NY client location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all aspects of RD & D projects including technical and administrative oversight, day-to-day guidance and input to research work, budgetary, schedule and long range project planning, including tracking Company commitments and expenditures.
Evaluate proposed and ongoing RD & D projects in terms of stated objectives, risk, methodology, benefits and how these areas address and benefit Company and customer needs.
Interact and communicate through verbal and written media at multiple management levels including project advisory groups, the NYSEARCH committee, NGA associates, OTD and outside parties.
Perform market and industry research for the purpose of gathering and providing necessary information to establish the business and technical justification for R & D project work.
Provide administrative support to the R&D Project Manager and R&D Project Engineer.
Develop and deliver presentations and technical papers on Research projects and products or proposed areas of RD & D activity.
Develop, prepare and analyze requirements for various R&D initiatives (NYSEARCH, OTD, Internal).
Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams for internal R&D efforts.
Ensure plans are achievable and timelines are met.
Development of testing protocols for proof of concept projects (through NYSEARCH, OTD and Internal).
Complete reports on progress of all associated RD&D work.
Attend internal and external conferences and meetings.
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Bachelor s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering (accredited) is required.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
0 years of engineering experience with natural gas required; we are considering candidates with all levels of experience with the natural gas industry.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required.
The candidate must have strong oral, interpersonal, and listening skills along with being highly organized and energetic in order to support multiple simultaneous efforts.
The individual must have strong project management skills, strong technical analytical skills and an equivalent ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel.
Internship and/or coursework in natural gas, or a related engineering field preferred.
GIS experience preferred.
Formal CADD training and/or experience is a plus.
