Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field, or equivalent experience is required. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is REQUIRED WITHIN 12 MONTHS of time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. Key Responsibilities The Entry-level Digital Electrical Engineer will support the design, development and test of digital component designs as well as subsystem-level designs at GDMS that are required to support our various customers missions. Additional Responsibilities Be an individual contributor within the electrical engineering design team that develops Hardware Configuration Items and Subsystem Level electrical design Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customer's changing business needs Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDMS services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices Interface with vendors for product development Interface with other GDMS engineering disciplines Provide direction/support to Manufacturing as required Attend formal design reviews as both a Presenter and Reviewer Occasional required travel to Field Sites, Installation Sites, and Vendors Basic Qualifications Candidates must have experience specifying, designing and verifying digital components, and developing subsystem-level designs.
