HDR Engineering is seeking a Projects Controls Specialist to join our growing power generation professionals in our Manchester, NH office.

The Project Controls Specialist will develop and implement project control processes and procedures for projects including progress and performance measurement. This position is intended to allow the employee to utilize their project controls skills on a variety of projects including developing estimates, schedules, progress reports, presenting reports to clients, meeting with clients, interfacing schedules with other schedules, and analyzing critical paths for forecasting schedule status. Schedules will be developed for Engineering Procurement and or Construction projects.

Develop, maintain, and review schedules and evaluate in detail to provide clients with a quality evaluation of the project status from a schedule point of view.
Development of estimates, cash flows, productivity analysis, and construction indirect costs.
Evaluate and recommend changes and/or provide assessment of the estimate quality.
Develop integrated schedules, logic analysis, and coordinates progress updates from multiple sources.
Understand outage requirements and familiarity with Electrical Transmission systems.
Lead discussions and present status on schedules and estimates.
Develops basic detailed reviewable estimates for reports and studies.
Interfaces with project management.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree required
5+ years of professional experience
demonstrated experience managing complex schedules
Experience using Primavera P6.
Subject Matter Expertise using MS Excel to manage and support detailed schedules
Superior interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills, including the ability to motivate and influence others, build effective interpersonal relationships, and be able to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Strong organizational, analytical, verbal & writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications.

Preferred Qualifications :
Experience managing schedules for Construction Projects
Experience managing schedules for Electrical Utilities
Experience with Earned Value Management and CPM scheduling application and methodologies
Experience with creating and implementing processes from the ground-up.
Possession of PMP, PMI-SP, PSP, or CST
Preference given to local candidates.
