Overview

IPKeys Technologies is looking for a Water Jet Machinist to support a Naval Air Command program located at NAS Lakehurst, NJ.

The Prototype and Manufacturing Department provides critical hardware to the fleet. We overhaul arresting engines and launch valves, we are the sole source of supply for the cables used for aircraft arrestment (i.e., purchase cables and cross deck pendants), we manufacture hardware in response to fleet emergencies, and we manufacture a wide range of support equipment and test this equipment appropriately. We are the sole source of supply and last source of supply for critical hardware that is essential to Navy Fleet operations. IPKeys Technologies is looking for an experienced Water Jet Operator who can not only run the machine but can cross-train other employees in machine operation as production increases.

Responsibilities

Water Jet Machinist Team Members perform a wide range of tasks associated with the fabrication, assembly, test, and overhaul of Aircraft Launch and Arresting Device (ALAD) parts and equipment as well as mission critical fabrication needs for the US Navy. These tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating Water Jet system for PMD Hanger 3 operations
  • Cross-train junior operators as production needs increase on water jet system operations
  • Assist in foam cutting and assembly of military equipment
  • Qualifications

  • Fabrication, assembly, test, and overhaul of Aircraft Launch and Arresting Device (ALAD) parts and equipment as well as mission critical fabrication needs for the US Navy.
  • Repair and regular maintenance of machine as required
  • Must be capable of reading and interpreting military drawings
  • Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in operating Waterjet Cutting machine. Flow (brand) preferred.
  • Must be able to Program - Flow controller software preferred but not mandatory
  • Blueprint reading essential
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance - must understand how to compute bending radius.
  • General manufacturing shop experience (familiar with Safety, OSHA, Environmental, industrial practices).
  • Education

  • Must have GED or High School Diploma.
  • Security

  • Candidates for this position must be able to obtain at least an Interim (DoD) Security clearance within 90 days and qualify for a Navy e-mail address.
